The Quarry Arena hosted 30 riders to perform their chosen BD tests. 8 Riders took up the Introductory B test which saw Sophie Gittus and her delightful cob Jester earn the highest score of 71.52%

6 combinations gave Introductory C a whirl which Rosemary Hepburn and Ranskill Road increasing on their 3rd place in the Intro B to take 1st place in the C with 67.39%

Lydia Harrison had super success, recently stepping up to the level and today taking the Novice 27 with her handsome coloured gelding Paddy for 70% later earning a 2nd place in her next test Novice 28.

Harriet Du Boulay and her charming grey Caislean Gearr Martie achieved the highest score of the day of 75.20% to win the Novice 28. Her sister Amelia was keeping the rosettes coming with a second placing in the Preliminary 14 class riding Mutafarrid for 65.96%

Mel King and her Gulliver’s Travels performed two quality tests to secure the red rosette in both the Preliminary 13 with 73.65% and Preliminary 14 with 70.96%

In addtion to the option of BD and BE tests, Yorkshire EC has recently put together a series of dressage tests from Intro through to Elementary. Those who choose to ride a YEC test at one of our Dressage competitions from Oct 21 to Mar 22 will be eligible for points towards the Winter Dressage Series, which will see those with the highest points at each level taking the Champion title, along with trophy and saddlepad.
