The Quarry Arena hosted 38 riders to perform their chosen tests. 18 Riders took up the new challenge with our own Yorkshire EC tests, which are eligible to score points towards the Winter Dressage Series.

The Introductory level saw Emma Barker and her delightful mare mare Hollywood Chantilly earn the highest score of 71.52% for the BD Intro A, with Casey Causier who stole a ride on her friend's lovely bay gelding Jack to take 67.05 in the first ever YEC Intro 1.

5 combinations gave Introductory B a go with Liberty Lou giving Natalie Astles a great ride to take 67.60% and Ellie Weaver riding Wenlock Dancing Queen to 66% in the YEC Intro 3 and 3rd place overall.

Georgie Moulton had super success, today taking the YEC Novice 2 with her smart grey Clonard Lady on 68.75% earlier earning a 2nd place in her first test YEC Prelim 3.

Emma Stone and her ride Brie, were another combination taking home our infamous rosettes, gaining to great scores of 70.22% to win the first Prelim class and 67.00% in the second to claim 4th.

In addition to the option of BD and BE tests, today was the start of our Winter Dressage at Yorkshire EC with the recently put together series of dressage tests from Intro through to Elementary. Those who choose to ride a YEC test at one of our Dressage competitions from Oct 21 to Mar 22 will be eligible for points towards the Winter Series, which will see those with the highest points at each level taking the Champion title, along with trophy and saddlepad.
