Learn To Ride At Yorkshire EC
Temporary closure on
riding school lessons
Update on Riding School Lessons.
We have made the hard decision to keep the school closed until the covid situation has stabilised. The past year was so challenging for our horses, with one minute in one routine the next another, and I don’t think it’s fair to risk that on along with a new bunch of horses who will be adjusting to school life. As things are looking promising, we are working towards a reopening of this summer, but it may be later, depending on what the government gives us all back.
We will be reopening, and we will be so glad to welcome you back and start on with our 3rd generation of teaching ponies, but if you want the horsey fix sooner, give us a shout, and we can help recommend another local centre.
Otherwise, please follow us and keep checking our website for updates, and we will contact everyone once we are alive and kicking.
Stay safe and try to enjoy the spring!

Looking for somewhere to ride...
Alongside our Event Centre and Livery Yard, Yorkshire EC offers it's fantastic facilities to our Riding School, providing our riders with some of the most well schooled, talented horses in the area. Each has super personalities to help our Instructors perfect your skills.
You can hone your skills in one of our four riding arenas -
Covered All Weather 20mx40m
Grass Showjumping Paddock with a full set of competition showjumps
Woodland and Grass Hacking Tracks with xc fences on site
We pride ourselves on teaching riders to ride correctly, using the 'natural aids' of the rider's seat, leg, and voice, not to rely on the reins and kicking on.
We offer private lessons and occasional semi-private lessons, keeping numbers small and riders in 'open order' so everyone gets to ride and learn as an individual too. We encourage riders to think and to be creative with their horse.
For riders of all levels and abilities. We can focus on the biomechanics, troublesome areas or head out for a hack, plenty of fun for you and the horse
