Our Team.

Day to day Gemma, our Managing Director keeps the centre running from providing the horses’ with 24/7 care to the maintenance of our facilities and the event organisation. Keeping everything running smoothly on event days she is supported by a truly great bunch of people, often liveries, who love opening up the centre to our visitors and competitions. Our volunteers really do give so much more than just their time to ensure that they do everything possible to give you a great experience.

JOIN THE CREW

We regularly welcome new members to the team; sometimes we have people wanting to gain experience on a yard or learning how running an equestrian event works, perhaps writing and scoring for a judge at one of our competitions.

So, if you are a friendly, hard-working team player who would like to meet, train and work alongside like-minded folk, fill out the form below and we will be in touch!

Some event roles are on a volunteers basis; and are rewarded with our Volunteer Package of refreshments throughout the day as well as a voucher as a thank you – those volunteering for a full day receive a £30 voucher and those volunteering for a half day receive a £15 voucher. Vouchers can be used for facility hire, competitions, or lessons.

Other roles are fully paid roles, and also often non equestrian roles are available. With have corporate events, weddings and car meets that mean we have to expand our team.
Land Management roles are available seasonally, and are really well suited to older teenagers wanting more land based and practical experience.
We also take students from Askham Bryan College on placements, which can be an excellent alternative to a yard based placement. especially if you are maybe looking a sports or coaching career for your future.
